I Dream in Winter by TJ #13 Photo Expression

Winter's Solstice...Standing-Still-Sun.

Strength comes to streams

so that we may walk across waters.

Blankets of snow wraps our lands

to protect her soils for new life from the cold.

We begin our month-long Soyal

rituals to insure victory of light over darkness.

In the darkest hour

of the longest night

I dream in Winter

of feast for our souls.

Chants of prayers

to bring back the sun

so that we may always walk in light.

This was beautifully written, TJ.

I felt the warmth of your words in spite of the frost in the picture!

Love how you said the cold of winter gives strength to streams so we can walk across them. Really quite a unique and expressive way to describe winter...and life. Always something there to give us strength.

Such a nice piece of writing!
