Yesterday...#8 by Red

Yesterday remains
As pure as dress up and giggles
As gentle as a hug and snoopy band aide
As comforting as a warm bed and a stuffed bear

A time of over active imagination
A time when dreams turned real with a wink
A time when adventure was just out the back door
Yes, yeterday remains strong
In memories of the old
While children play
To build a yesterday of their own

Dress up, giggles and snoopy band aids. I am smiling...this is precious.

I am totally charmed by this poem...and touched by the last line. Yes, our children are building a yesterday of their own.
