Where is my God?
Where is my God?
My god is not found behind four walls
Ornately decorated by stained glass
Not in the excited utterances
Of hellfire and damn nation
Offered up from a stage
Not in acts of false profits
Perorated on children and hidden by a Vatican
Not in the pages of books
Written and revised by man to fit his needs
Not in the cowardly actions of a terrorist
Proclaiming it was done in his name
Not in a war entered into under false pretence
And continued with lies and excuses
Not in the gang that claims to be family
But kill each other over drugs and turf
Not in the suffering of others
Caused by the neglect of many
My god is found in the laughter of children at play
In the wisdom of the old
And the excitement of youth
In the birth of a child
And the death of a loved one
My god is found in the gentle rain
And the howling wind
In the warmth of the sun
And glow of the moon
In the rushing waters of a brook
And the stillness of a pond
My god in found in contemplation and meditation
In taking action and acceptance consequences
In offering help and expecting nothing
My god is found in the small miracles
In the quiet faith that this to shall pass
In the ah ha moments that bring insight
My god is found in very face
In very creation
In every act of kindness
He is there
My god is accessible to all
The only cost, the strength to believe

Red, this was absolutely wonderful! God would agree :)
Thanks, Red.
It's good to know 'our' God is big enough to share. And you were able to articulate it quite nicely.

& well-written Red,
Really inspired by the picture.

MAGNIFICENT! Love your timing just prior to Easter, too!
Pssst...it DOES take strength to believe, especially in the faces of those who tell us we use Him as a crutch.
