"Life dwells on the tip of a teardrop" by TJ
"Life dwells on the tip of a teardrop" a Jod [i] challenge
I hold close my words
under a magnify glass
spoken with love
wrapped in
a silver lining
I thought you seen that.
I promised you tomorrows
up over the berm
I offered my hand
to hold while you learn.
A Youth of broken promises
love from a empty glass
you knew the difference
their future
your past.
I believed in my heart
you could get well
but the road was to ruff
the hills to hard to climb
we needed time.
When you closed
your weary eyelids
a single teardrop fell
with your shallow breathe.
At that very moment
God wrapped his arms
around you
and lifted you to rest.

Wow...what an incredibly beautiful and sad poem. Wish I could help somehow...

Truly beautiful, TJ. We hope that your sadness is balanced by happiness.

Oh Tj....
You have left me speechless
"A Youth of broken promises
love from a empty glass
you knew the difference
their future
your past."
this is like you know me really close enough. it did connect well with me, TJ.
