Beneath

The following came to me this morning as Trevor and I drifted the morning away on a hammock strung under the trees in our backyard.

Beneath
ckg 4-16-06

Beneath the slowly crawling clouds I sway
Beneath the brilliant sky blue
Beneath the birds singing what they have to say
Beneath the trees that fill my view

Above the stress that fills everyday life
Above all the work to do
Above traffic, ringing phones, anger & strife
Above bills to pay, too.

I am in a state of perfect relaxation
I am in a hurry to do nothing today
I am in the moment
I am in a hammock on a spring day

I would love to spend some time swing in a hammock right now. I like this Chis.

You presented this in such a way that I can easily picture myself gently swaying in a hammock just absorbing and savoring the moments and surroundings.

Very nice!

Chris, Great job! I need a hammock, like now. Better yet a trip to Kauai!

Hmm hmm,
I feel like doing nothing
& swinging in a hammock all day!

Love the refraining "beneath the" & "above" & "i am in".

Love the poem! Chirs.
